This month-long project was a product of he collaboration between the students of Srishti Institute, and Tsuneo Sekiguchi, an artist from Japan.
For the project, we collaboratively built a Rainbow Hut, which was constructed using jute bags, mud and iron frames. The rainbows within the hut were made using mirrors, water and the sun.
As is best described in his artist statement,"The concept behind his work is to create a space for people to understand themselves as primitive human beings, dancing around a fire. The installation is meant for people to notice and pay attention to rainbow as light itself instead of noticing the screens and objects around them. He wants his participants to understand who they are and to encounter a newly defined space created inside the hut by the reflected rainbows."
